"HAREFIELD"
AT THE EASTERN END OF THE BREAK O' PLAINS

This building at "Harefield" near St Marys was the cottage built by Dr Alexander Thomson in the early 1830s. It is believed to be the oldest building still standing in the Fingal Valley.
Dr Thomson originally named the property "Logie" but after he sold it to Francis Groom in the mid 1830s, Groom remained it "Harefield"
