Aussie
Rules Football
The
first recorded game of Aussie Rules Football was played between Fingal
and St Marys in 1884. The Fingal District Football Association was formed
in 1922 with: St Marys, Fingal, Avoca, Mathinna and Cornwall-Mt Nicholas
Rovers.
St Helens, Rossarden, Swansea and Campbell Town joined after World War
Two.

The
Break O' Day Soccer team,
or "Black Diamonds" as they were known, beat all that came before
them in 1930, included top teams from Hobart and Launceston.
